What killed Paul apostle of Jesus Christ?

According to Christian tradition and historical sources, the Apostle Paul was martyred by beheading in Rome.

This is believed to have happened around 64–67 AD during the reign of Emperor Nero, who persecuted Christians after the Great Fire of Rome.

Beheading was considered a relatively quick and honorable form of execution, typically reserved for Roman citizens—which Paul was.

There are no detailed contemporary eyewitness accounts, but this is the most widely accepted historical and church tradition regarding his death.
